The Feast Day Mass for St Thomas More will be celebrated WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26th in the Chapel of Notre Dame Seminary.  We will also, as we have for the last several years, have a free CLE program and social immediately following the Mass.

After the success of last year’s Veteran’s Day Fellowship Breakfast, we are hoping to make it an annual event. This year it is scheduled on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Bravo Restaurant in Metairie beginning at  7:30 AM.  The program will be over by 8:45 AM, but members are welcome to stay later to visit and network with other members.   

The annual Red Mass will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 9:30 AM at St. Louis Cathedral, with a reception afterward at a place yet to be determined.  Fr. Paul Scalia, son of former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, will be the homilist.  Father Scalia grew up in the Diocese of Arlington and attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He then studied theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome.  Since his ordination in 1996 he has served as parochial vicar at several parishes and as pastor of Saint John the Beloved in McLean.  He currently serves as the Episcopal Vicar for Clergy.  He has written for various publications and is a frequent speaker on matters of faith and doctrine.  Father Scalia's first book, That Nothing May Be Lost: Reflections on Catholic Doctrine and Devotion, was published by Ignatius Press in 2017.

The St. Thomas More Feast Day Mass will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the chapel of Notre Dame Seminary, 2901 S. Carrollton Ave, New Orleans.  The Mass will be followed by a reception, short annual meeting, and CLE presentation.  The 2018 Evangeline Award will also be presented. 

Our next St. Thomas More Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the conference room at Notre Dame Seminary.  Members are always welcome at Board meetings.
